wouldn't IT be nice?!?!?

Kelly L-here now

why yes, yes it would... and IT is! We are semi-moved into the new space. There's a LOT of organization and work to be done but IT is all here except for the office furniture which arrives on Thursday. So until then, I'm computing from the kitchen table and overlooking the lake. Not a bad view but I'm anxious to have my studio all set up again. It's hard to be creative in the middle of the family life fast lane. So tomorrow we bagel and then have dinner to say "see you later" to Holly. I don't say goodbye. I don't believe in it. She's coming back- I'm calling it an extended vacation. So there. Thursday is Katie's birthday and furniture moving day. Ugh. Lots to do before then. Thursday night there's a midnight showing of Mama Mia. I am SO tempted to go. But Friday morning my flight to CHA leaves at 6:30am... and the airport is about 30 minutes from my house which means I need to leave here by 5am. If I were to act rashly and go to the movie I'd get home about 2:30am. Hmmmmmmmm... just thinking out loud... that might not be such a grand idea. But I REALLY want to see that movie. Maybe on Sunday after the bridal fair that Katie and I are going to. Dang. The wedding is only about 4 months and 13 days away and we've got a heck of a to do list going. I'm thinking we need to get the big move finished up and get into wedding mode. I probably won't be back here to post until after CHA... but I'll try to come home with a firm plan for the rest of the year. I get excited just thinking about IT! :)

p.s. the layout? from ME! can you believe it?!?!? In the midst of the move and everything else I took a sanity break and headed over to my friend Shari's house for a crop. It's been a LONG time since I've done that but I had a great time. I was surprised at how easy it was to get packed up when I took out 2 or three kits and grabbed my trimmer and adhesive and headed out the door. Aren't kits wonderful?!?!? :)

your box... or mine?!?!?

Your box

It Kit Studio is moving to a new space! YEAH! We're so excited about the new space part... but the packing part? UGH! So we got together in our little storage room and devised a plan that's a win win situation for all of us. We're going to have a HUGE moving sale. Check out our site on Monday morning for sale prices that you won't even believe. Discounts will range from 10% all the way to 75% off. I know we've got to pack IT up and move IT out. But heck, if it's going in a box anyway, why not just send it to your house and not pay the movers?!?!? :) Give us the weekend to update the site and then treat yourself to happy little summer surprise. Seriously, we've never done a sale like this before, I can't imagine that you'd even think about missing IT. Of course there are limited quantities of each kit since we can't sell what we don't have on hand... And now, just cuz I feel like it... post here to let me know you're reading and Sunday night at 10pm (ish) central time I'll give away one kit of your choice from the entire site. :) Deal? Deal. Seriously good deal.

Oh Baby! IT's a Calendar!

Baby calenday collage (Large)

Love love love this one. :) It's a calendar kit with beautiful stamps designed by our own talented Denise Levy, Making Memories Noteworthy Papers, and the coolest Making Memories Calendar. What a fun way to track that ever important first year. Available now in the studio shop.

The July kit's up and ready to go too. This one's filled with some really great accessories that coordinate oh so perfectly with June and will match up great with August. Love it when a kit comes together. The It Girls have some stunning layouts and projects in the gallery that are sure to inspire you to take a break from the heat and spend some time enjoying the air conditioning and your pictures and supplies.

any day now...

It Kit Studio one inch stamp IT should be showing up on your doorstep. Stateside orders left Nebraska on Wednesday morning. I love the feeling of seeing a filled up post office truck pulling out of the driveway. :) I love it when "good mail" shows up on my porch, don't you??!?!? Inside your package you'll find a "gift" to celebrate our 1st year of It Kit. Make sure you check out the back of that floral tag attached to your kit!

Today is clean up day in the studio. I have put it off as long as I can... but when you have to scrap on the floor, it's time. Seriously. I don't recognize the disaster that this room has become. But first, I think I'll venture out for lunch with my friend Shari and "gear up" for the process. Or am I just pushing it off another couple of hours?!?!? Hmmmmmmmmm... probably the latter.

Happy Friday- hope your weekend is full of artful and creative things. ;)

remember this stamp?

June Stamp (large)

It's the stamp that started it all. I loved this one. I still do. This week when I was cleaning up and moving things around I found some in the storage bins. Sooooooooo... I'm thinking that I'll offer them up with new subscriptions. While supplies last. I have a few- but not tons. So, if you always wanted one, you can get it with a new subscription. If you're a current subscriber but missed out on that first kit you can get one by placing an additional order of $25 or more at the site. I'll be shipping kits next Wednesday so you have till next Tuesday for this offer. :) Happy Memorial Day! I'll be at the track, working on my "race face" (I'm hoping the sunscreen works better this year!)

IT's the most wonderful time...

Bit_of_itof the month! :) In the studio getting all the details together so that we can get this month's kit up on the 15th. The papers in this kit have been so much fun to work with because they're fresh fun colors but yet they "work" for so many different subjects and moods. I spent the afternoon putting together a canvas for the front page of the site. I just wish I had room in my house for all the pieces that I make to showcase the kit every month. Some of them have gone to friends and family and some stick around the studio for a while but I'm running out of display space. Oh the dilemma of space. Anyway, I'm excited to show IT to you. Just a few more days now! I'm headed back to the studio to play a bit more. I'm shamelessly avoiding the rearranging of the It Kit shipping area. My husband graciously moved all the boxes of inventory down to the new space but it's up to me to arrange it and quite frankly I'm avoiding said work. After all, I'm supposed to be "taking it easy" after surgery, right? and scrapping is much "easier" than arranging inventory on shelves. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Nothing like using the Doctor as my excuse, eh? Although it's been almost 6 weeks so my excuses are about to come to an end. But hey, take my lead and put something mundane off and scrap a bit today. No time like the present and those "other things" will still be there when you're done- heck, no one else is going to do it!

p.s. I'll show you the whole thing in just a couple more days! Go forth and create- trust me, you'll be glad you did!

Have you got IT?!?!? :)

Marla_simpleflowercardsYou should have IT soon. Boxes are postal today! I used to dread kit packing day but now that we've got it down it's really quite fun. We laugh and giggle and play jokes on one another and catch each other's "mess ups". It seems like every month I have just the right people who come and help pack. It's never the same crew twice- it's an eclectic mix. But we always have a good time. This month we slipped a few bITs and pieces into some of the boxes! :) I love hiding little things inside them. This month there are some 7gypsies roller saying stamps in 10 of the boxes. Maybe your box is one of them. :) I hope so!

We're also working on a survey for our current subscribers to get a little feedback on IT. And there will be a special reward for those who take the time to give their opinion. Bottom line? We want IT to be what you want IT to be. :) I thoroughly enjoy searching out fun products and combinations to bring you but I'd also love to hear from you and see what you think would make IT even better. So, look for that survey link soon.

And per the usual, I sat down at my desk this morning all excited because IT was all ready to go out the door and then an email popped into my box with another order. Happens every month and it totally makes me smile. It's a like a little reminder that we're not ever completely done with it and I love that. Thanks for getting IT... I really do appreciate you!

p.s. the cards? From Marla with the April & May It Kit Studio kits! :) Aren't they SO bright and cheery? I love them so much that I made them the photo on my desktop...
